Masters Swimmers have noticed that winter is closing in with temperatures cooler in the mornings but the water temperature at Club Banora pools is beautiful - just right for a hard morning at training and or doing those longer swims for the required aerobic swims eg 400 metres up to 1 hour or more ( non stop of course ) For the newer members 50 metres is a milestone wtith the 400 metres the first hurdle and after that the going gets easy as the fitness increases. Albany Creek carnival was another enjoyable day with our Twin Towns competitors coming away with 2 gold medals each for George and Alison, Dihana, Lyn, Minnie and Tony winning silver and Del won the bronze - well done everyone. In June we will be returning to Yamba for the long weekend to uphold our reputation as fun lovers in the entertainment stakes ( eg our choir is in fine voice ) and we shall also be after a few swim records. Alas, Toni Cameron will need to do some fast recuperating as she has broken her ankle and we hear it wasn't "the turps" that caused it but we have yet to find that out ! So for Toni and the rest of use, we try to keep fit, keep healthy and keep smiling. Dave
